This shit on TV is aggregiously disingenious.
Wouldn’t it be great if someone (like a broadcasting watchdog) would stop such usage of public airwaves. If the predatory lenders hurt the poor. Mr Trudeau adds insult to injury for the weakest among us. This is a business model that says: “Hey, you know all those people that are Fucked out there?! They are so Fucked right now, it would be so taotally easy to Screw them some more! Lets prey on these weakling half-men by masquerading as their benevolent rescuer.” Well, thats what I’m imagining I would write if I were in charge of Subtitling the Video recoding of that board meeting for DVD release to a wider audience.
Freedom of speach is great. But, the size of the soap box matters.
Since media companies where given this very powerful tool (broadcasting license) from the public, this right should be accompanied by obligations to that same public towards common welfare. The least of these obligations would be to refrain from peddling snake oil.
