Piece Of Shit Country

This blog is not trashing the United States.  The title is meant to be provocative.  This blog aims to group together a variety of instances, examples, anecdotes that represent some of the worst defilement of the US image and prestige.

This is done on the premise that United States is in many ways, a great country and Americans a wonderful people. That is not a difficult position to defend: as the biggest economy, the richest country, the strongest military power, home to some of the greatest research centers, cauldron of intellectuals, and magnet to immigrants from the world over, the United States can stand proudly  in the pantheon of great nations past and present.

Rather this blog explores the paradox that is the United States, as a country of extremes and of opposites: the rich, the poor; the fit, the fat; the conservatives, the liberals; the puritanical, the libertine. The list could go on-and-on…

By the same token this country can find itself being the best and the worst. Here we collect and share thoughts about what we find is worst in America in order to raise awareness, explain why certain incidents or practices are terrible and ultimately better it. All nations and communities are perfectible and must relentlessly be perfected in order to be great.
